Create your own Roku channel from your YouTube videos
You already have the videos. MediaPilot turns them into your own branded Roku channel. No coding, no new recording, no editing, and no tech work on your side.
Roku's free channel builder is gone
Roku shut down Direct Publisher, its free no-code channel builder, on January 12, 2024. Many guides and videos still walk you through it, but that path no longer exists.
Today there are three ways to get your own channel on Roku:
- Hire a developer to code the channel in Roku's own language, then maintain it.
- Use a builder tool and assemble the channel yourself.
- Have it built for you from the videos you already have. That is what MediaPilot does.
How to turn your YouTube channel into a Roku channel
- Create your account. Sign up and verify your email.
- Create your channel. Give it your name and brand.
- Add your videos. Paste your YouTube channel link, pick the videos or playlists you want, and import them. Or upload files directly. You can set an automatic import day and time so new uploads keep coming in.
- Set your ad breaks on the videos.
- Publish. We build your branded channel and publish it to the Roku Channel Store.
